In 2006, Crash Romeo signed with Trustkill Records and released their first album. Since that date, the band has gained a decent following and has toured extensively. Their follow-up album—the name is rather tongue in cheek Gave Me The Clap.—seems almost reminiscent of Green Day, yet their sound remains solely their own.

You may already have heard of Crash Romeo. Their video for "Popular" has already hit You Tube and has been getting decent reviews. Produced by Jason Marsden (Nelson in the popular family sitcom "Full House"), the video was filmed in New Jersey and features Marsden in segments. "Popular" has also been featured on the television show "The Hills."

Crash Romeo features Travis Weber (Vocals/Guitar), Ryan Weber (Drums), Steve Anderson (Guitar/Vocals) and Steve Matthews (Bass/Vocals.) The band definitely has catchy tunes. Obviously, "Popular" has a nice beat and will have you singing along. "Lady Luck" seems destined to be a hit if the album catches on; the guitar riffs definitely have you moving to the beat. It is the slower song "Give Me Something" that really hit me. The slower pace, heartfelt lyrics and vocals come together beautifully.

Deemed a punk band, Crash Romeo is certainly going to appeal to fans of Green Day, yet I'm not sure I'd throw them in as being solely punk. They have a mix of sounds that work well. A couple songs had guitar work that sounded similar making it hard to really rate the album higher than I have. Regardless, it's still a decent sophomore effort!
