 Completely Serious, Daniel’s Tosh’s latest DVD is anything but….. serious. Comprising clips from his October 2006 special, Tosh does not disappoint. Proud to say the least, Tosh proclaims, “Thank you. I deserve that. I’m really good….. Actually the best.” The best, he proclaims! Must be something worth watching, hell its only an hour right? Wrong. No DVD of Tosh can be played through without stopping or rewinding.
As a first time view, this DVD is hilarious and offers something for everybody. However, it’s Tosh’s peculiar antics and behavior that increases his ability to sell his bit.
The Google story hits hard as Tosh describes how Google killed his relationship with his girlfriend because of an Asian Ass Porn search. Hilarious. Not sure if it was just blatantly funny or it reminded me of a recent search that came back to haunt me.
For the most part, Tosh utilizes pop culture as the root of his material. A mixture of innocence and intelligence bridges the gaps between outright hilarity and, “I can’t believe he said that.”
On the deleted scenes, Tosh exchanges a DVD for a restroom pass for one of his fans. A fair trade I’d say.
If you’re new to Daniel Tosh’s material, check out this DVD. It’s a definite grin. If you’re a dedicated fan to Tosh, check it out anyway. It won’t be something completely new, but it’ll be funny anyway, but you already knew that. |
